Getting sick is no fun

I think getting sick is about as bad as actually being sick. Right now, I feel TERRIBLE!
I have a nose so blocked I'm sure China's stuck up there somewhere. My throat feels like there are a million ants crawling up and down it. My chest feels like a sumo wresteler is sitting on it. And to top it all of my stomach feels like someone is hacking away at it with a very dull knife... not actually cutting but just about to.

Make me sick now please so I can enjoy being my usual un-sick self.

I was reminded tonight of Ernerst Hemingway's shortest story. Do you know it?
"Baby shoes for sale. Never used."
It is only 6 words long but to me it speaks a thousand stories of joy, hope, anxiety, dreams, sadness, remorse, pain, anger and so much more. It's amazing how such few words can make you feel so many things.

I'm going to stop being so melodramatic now and hopefully pass out to a world where everything's peaches.

Gleeture

It has come to my attention that Glee, the most amazing show on the face of the planet thus far, is to some extent TORTURE (Gleeture) to some people. And by some people, I mean my boyfriend.

I have thus come to the awesome conclusion that I can forcefully will my boyfriend to see and/or do things my way by capturing him and sitting on him and singing Glee songs (terribly) in his ear. It is quite awesome and I suggest you all try it if your partner is particularly averse to Glee.

I find that 'Taking Chances';

and "Can't fight this feeling";

does wonders for getting your way. Or maybe if you're in an arguement with your loved one and just cbf fighting anymore.... BREAK INTO SONG! He/she will be so confused that they will probably just laugh....or think you're crazy. Either way, it's better than fighting.

This is #49821 on my "Why I heart Glee" list. What? You don't have one? Shame.

updates!

Hola,

Not much has been happening in my life. Happy with my new job and finally getting comfortable being around the boss and his forever snarky remarks. Once you get used to him, he's actually quite a cool guy. Just found out today that he has a Felix the Cat tattoo somewhere on his body (I didn't dare ask where).

Ollie is grinding his claws into my leg as I type. He's officially our cat, I don't care who says what. He's mine... I mean... ours.

Potato and bacon soup for dinner tonight!! It's going to be my first venture into soup making so we'll see how that goes.

On that happy note, I shall leave you with a comic piece that kept me laughing for a good 10 minutes. I go through this once a month as I'm sure all you female readers out there do too.
